Does anyone have the documentation for the Starbase display list control routines? I have a HP 9000/350 SRX and I'd like to use the routines listed in the promotional literature, i.e. open_segment, call_segment, close_segment, display_segment, etc. But I can't find any documentation. What irks me is that the literature I have for the 320 SRX also claims that there are display list routines, so it's not like they haven't had any time to prepare some manual pages. Note that I've found all of the routines in /usr/lib/libgkssb.a, but without documentation they are useless.

(I think the part number is 98674-90001.) Your sales rep will easily be able to order one for you. No reason to be "irked," the manual has been out for quite some time and has even been reved once or twice. Happy New Year, gt

Try the HP manual "Starbase Reference" Part/No. 98592-90061 for HP 9000 series 300/800. It seems to contain all the info you want. Each page contains the name of the routine, synopsis (C, fortran and pascal syntax), description, and a short discussion. The same info should be also online in man pages 3G. K. Konstantinides

>Note that I've found all of the routines in /usr/lib/libgkssb.a, >but without documentation they are useless. The display list library is a separate product. You will have to buy it to get the necessary library files, header files, and documentation. Parts of the display list library are used in the GKS library, but there isn't enough of the interface code there to make it usable without buying the actual product.
