Can someone tell me what the terminal type is for a 110 when connecting to an HP9000? It is very iritating to use vi without the right terminal type. Thanks for your help, :-) Tad

Thanks for your help, Assuming that you mean an hp110 or "portable", the terminal type is "110" or "hp110". If the machine doesn't recognize that, perhaps someone has removed some the terminfo entries on that machine to save space. Mike Stroyan, hpfcla!stroyan

Use the terminal type "hp110" or "110" (which *should* be defined in your terminfo file). This is for a 16-line screen. Shankar Unni. ...!hpda!shankar

If you look through the termcap definitions on the 9000, I think there is a "110" or "hp110" termcap. Bill Wilhelmi HP Corvallis Workstation Operation

I beleive the 110 boots a terminal emulator program. If you can tell me what vendors program you are using, I can answer your question. Hp has "Reflections", and "Advancelink" available I beleive. Incidentally, I am referring to a HP110 portable plus. If you are using the older version, I still may be able to help, but I will have to look it up at my office. Let me know.. Mike Ryan

You may have troubles with inverse video mode on the 110. Our gnu emacs for example, sometimes sets inverse video in a secondary window, and it stays set until the machine is powered off. mjb. mjb@hoosier.utah.edu Fat Chance Garage and Brewery - Cars drive in... but they don't drive out!
