Has anyone else done such a thing? Thanks for any info, I am working on a program to control a Matrix PCR film recorder from an HP 300. I have only developed one roll of film, but the results look very promising. You may be interested to know that I chose to use the Utah-rle format for raster input to my program. For testing I used the mandrill.rle and lenna.rle images supplied with the raster toolkit. The images came out beautifully, and about 12 of them would fit on one 35mm slide at the 2048 resolution! I haven't tried using the 4096 resolution yet. I will be doing further work on the program. Utah is welcome to a copy if you are interested. I am using a QCR-Z manual, so it should work on your film recorder. jj -- James Lee Johnson, UTexas Dept. of Computer Sciences, Austin, Texas 78712 Internet/ARPANET: jjhnsn@sally.utexas.edu jjhnsn@ut-sally.ARPA UUCP: jjhnsn@ut-sally.UUCP harvard!ut-sally!jjhnsn ames!ut-sally!jjhnsn rutgers!im4u!jjhnsn

We will soon be getting a Matrix QCR-Z variable resolution film recorder, which will supposedly hook up to an HPIB interface, on one of our 200 or 300 machines. Has anyone else done such a thing? Thanks for any info, mjb. mjb@hoosier.utah.edu
