Below is a list of all of the HP28S functions that I have been able to find,
which differ from the HP28C. This list has beem compiled from searches through
the manuals and a few days with a 28S. Additions and/or corrections are
welcomed.

1. CPU speedup from approx. 600 KHz to 1 MHz.
2. Menu markings on shifted keys now have a white bordering rectangle.
3. RAM expanded from 2 Kbytes to 32 Kbytes.
4. Some menus moved around the keyboard, with STAT moved from the right to
   the left keyboard.
5. Addition of user subdirectories and associated MEMORY menu functions
CRDIR, HOME, PATH and VARS. CLUSR now clears objects only in the current
   directory.
6. SOLVER soft key labels are now displayed in inverse video.
7. ALPHA LOCK key replaved by MENUS function on shifted ALPHA key.
8. Binary numbers now displayed with 'b', 'o', 'd' and 'h' to the right of the
values. Also, a value may now be entered in any base, as long as it is
identified with the proper identifying letter.
9. New MENU (Programmable menu turn on) function added.
10.Mode toggles show the current choice with a small square next to the name,
rather than displaying in inverse video (such as FIX, etc.).
11.Display may be dumped to the printer with ON / L key sequence.
12.Graphic plots may be saved as a string object in stack level 1, or restored
from the stack with LCD-> and ->LCD functions. Interactive storage of plot
now available via DEL key press.
13.CATALOG and UNITS menus scan by holding key down, not by old method.
14.More descriptive error messages in the display.
15.CUSTOM menus (INPUT and USER types) may now be created through special use
   of the new MENU function.
16.UNITS menu has one unit corrected and one new unit added.
17.Programs in EDIT or VISIT mode are now displayed with structured indented
   in more readable form.
18.Both arrays and lists may be referred to in algabraic syntax, i.e. 'L(3)'
returns the 3rd element in array L or list L.
19.ALPHA key now executes a three-way toggle through all 3 entry modes.
20.Flag 46 set/clear controls wraparound on/off of GETI/PUTI index value back
   to 1.
21.Flag 47 set/clear controls double-space printing on/off.
22.DGTIZ function allows interactive digitizing with INS key during a running
   program.

More 28S versus 28C:
Add three more items to the list:

23.The 28S uses non-glare glass over its LCD, where the 28C (at least mine)
   did not.
24.In EDIT of VISIT mode, the functions +,-,*,/,^ and -> will be placed in
the display with spaces appended before and after them for clarity.
25.In the STAT menu, the functions COMB (combinations) and PERM (permutations)
   have been added.
