[comp.sys.hp] HP9000 Series 800 and serial I/O

Can anyone out there especially someone from HP explain why for the
new 825 you can only use the 6-Chan Mux card for communications to ttys and
not the 8-Chan Mux. It seem if you have to put alot of users on a system
(and thats why we are getting an 825, for alot of users) that you want cheap
and as many ttys on a single line as possible. Also the 6-Chan Mux from what
I have read can't keep up because of its buffer to a full 6 channels going at
9600 baud. So its going to ruin the preformance of this machine and the users
will again be unhappy with HP's product. So could someone out there set me
straight... Thanks for help.
