I have an HP 7470A plotter that I need to connect to a PC. Unfortunately I do not have a manual for the plotter, and don't know what the dip switch settings mean. There are 8 switches, labeled S1, S2, Y, US and 4 baud rate switches. What does each setting mean? I want to set it up for 9600 baud, no parity, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit. What do I do? Please respond via e-mail. Thanks for any help you can provide. allegra\ ihnp4!mhuxu!skeeve ulysses/ (Chris Riley)

Steve, What is your mailing address? I can send you application notes on how to connect the 7470A or most other HP plotters to most of the common PC's. These notes also cover the switch settings. Regards, Dale Hammer Hewlett-Packard Sales Rep Indianapolis, IN. (317)844-4100
