I'm looking for an HP-28S program which will give the dates of moon phases (accurate to one day) given a month and year. Code, references, or formulas would be appreciated. I've tried a couple of astronomy references and am unable to distill the detailed tables and mathematics into a concise form (they're all trying to compute with accuracy down to the second). Thanks. One of the old HP-41 solution books (I think it was called the Time Solution Book) had a listing for a moon phase program. Check with some 41 owners near you -- if you're out of luck and you can wait til mid-Sept I could convert it to 28S and send it to you. [ I'm pretty sure it was accurate to a day. ] ----------- Thomas J.
