I am currently trying to establish a file transfers between
an Altos running Xenix and an HP3000 system. The language I have to
work with on the HP is COBOL and is the only one I can compile a
communications protocol with. Another alternative but not likely is
a language called SPL which is the HP systems programming language.
I need a communications protocol be it xmodem, ymodem, zmodem , kermit or
whatever you might have that is written is one of these two languages.
If anyone has such sources or can direct me to such sources I would really
appreciate it.

Michael: There are public domain Kermit and Xmodems for the HP 3000.
I'd suggest you try the International Users Group ('INTEREX') to see
what they can help you with. I believe they have the tapes for this
kind of stuff.
They are in Sunnyvale, California, at 408-738-4848.
