[comp.sys.hp] BIND on HP 9000-3xx?

mike@quench.lbl.gov (Michael Helm) (09/23/88)

Does anyone know anything about BIND or other nameserver technology
for HP 9000-300's? If you have any information on it, knowledge
about its availability, or other advice, please let me know.

Thanks for your attention,

BIND 4.8 has been ported to HP-UX. It is not yet a product, but an
unsupported version is available for 6.0 and 2.0. Contact me for
details.

Though, I do not have the ability to make a commitment on this issue for
HP, I can say that BIND is strongly considered for a future release.
I have heard of unsupported versions, but have not personally dealt with
them.

For official information please contact a HP field representative.
