I have come across an HP9825b. It appears to be a desktop lab computer of some sort. Can anyone tell me what it is, what it might still be good for? It powers on, appears to work, but came with no documentation. Please reply by E-mail. tnx in advance mgg ------------- Computer Services Office - University of Illinois Michael G. Lets see ... an HP9825B ... do you fish? It can be used to keep your boat from drifting away from that school of tasty Bass ... well actually its a computer based on a proprietary 16-bit processor. It is programmed in HPL and is designed to control instruments via HPIB. HPL you ask? HPL is a crude language (by today's standards) allowing single letter variables, but, naturally, has a good I/O facility. BTW ... if it doesn't have a silly brown card sticking in the back with an HPIB cable on it, then it really IS a boat anchor.
