I am a lonely HP IPC user who has been looking for an inexpensive hard-drive for quite a long time (One guy offered me a 14 meg that was 3 years old for $5200. He was serious too). I seem to recall reading somewhere that some hardware was available for the IPC that converted between the HP-IB and SCSI protocals. Does such a monster exist? If so, where can I get it? Also, anyone who has experience with this sort of thing, I would love to hear from you. Thank you much, Paul

They are supposed to answer all of these questions and do a great job of it (I use them all the time). Sam

Sadly I think the Customer Info Center will help only on HP products. The company called 'Black Box' makes a 'IEEE 488 to anything' box (well, several of them.. one to SCSI, one to Parallel, etc) and you might check there. The other thing, I think, would be to post a 'wanted' note in some of the HP groups here - comp.sys.hp, etc. See if any employees want to sell of their disk but make sure you get a bargain price. I'd say a 15M 9133 should go for about $750 or less. After all, it is basically a Seagate drive in an HP case.... mbk

An SCSI interface is available for the Integral PC, through SEJUS corporation in the Portland (OR) area. Call: (503) 747-9332 We don't provide any guarantees or assurances for SEJUS, but we worked closely with the owner, Joe Wilhelm, and I have a lot of respect for the guy. Regards -- gvg
