I have a problem with the last command on my HP370 (HP-UX 6.2). For some reason, remote logins via rlogin and X Window sessions leave lines like the following: burzio ttyp1 Wed Mar 22 09:09 - 09:09 (00:00) At login time, users have their last successful and bad login attempts noted to the screen, but this line makes no sense to them. The process was obviously logged in for more time than this. Perhaps the network runs a short job to disconnect network logins? In any event, logins with zero time should not be logged, since they don't really exist... Does anyone at HP know why this log entry is made?
