[comp.sys.hp] Preserving HP PaintJet printouts

(Not an offficial response.)
We haven't experienced noticable fading on our print-outs after
1-2 years in an office environment. My understanding is that the pigments
used are "normal" ink pigments, so should last about as long as any other
plain paper ink. I would think that light exposure would greatly accelerate
fading. Beyond that, you might investigate what libraries use to keep
newspapers from fading. (I think washing in buffered florinert and dry
nitrogen storage may be overkill.)
