(Not an offficial response.) We haven't experienced noticable fading on our print-outs after 1-2 years in an office environment. My understanding is that the pigments used are "normal" ink pigments, so should last about as long as any other plain paper ink. I would think that light exposure would greatly accelerate fading. Beyond that, you might investigate what libraries use to keep newspapers from fading. (I think washing in buffered florinert and dry nitrogen storage may be overkill.)
