am i imagining things, or isn't there a way to warm boot from within the pascal workstation (2.1)? wasn't there something one could type from within the debugger to get a boot? did it appear in the communicator long ago, maybe? any memories would be most appreciated. thanks, sid ======================================================================= s cowles uucp: {backbone}!lll-lcc!scowles internet: scowles@lll-lcc.llnl.gov =======================================================================

Yep. From the debugger, type sb Make sure it's lower case (hold shift key while typing) then hit return (new kbds) or enter (old kbd). The 3.22 version of Pascal also allows you to specify what system to reboot to, but I won't try to describe that here. Scott Bayes

I think if you type 'sb' to the debugger prompt (system-boot), the system will reboot. NB it has to be in lower-case. This certainly works for Pascal 3.0, I assume it does for 2.1 too. -rana- (usual disclaimers)
