I am working on a project that involves sending escape codes to an HP2934A printer, and I have a question that I am hoping someone can assist me with. Is there any way, using escape codes, to do a "hard reset" without having the printer do a form feed? I am currently using ESC E, which does a reset but also goes to top of form (unless the printer is already at top of form). Flushing the input buffer in the process would be OK. Reason for this question: in this application, the printer is loaded with weird forms, so "top of form" is not used by the application -- and so when I do an ESC E to reset the printer, I waste some forms ... Thanks for any assistance! Ray Liere Vantage Consulting and Research Corporation voice: (503)657-7294 uucp: hplabs!hpfcla!hpubvwa!vantage!ray
