A project I'm working on for a local science museum would be greatly enhanced if I could find out how to interface an HP Vectra ES/12 PC with an HP Touch Accessory bezel (model 35723A). I've called several groups within HP repeatedly and the current state of affairs is that, modulo the runarounds I've gotten, I'm waiting two weeks for a restock on a manual (BIOS Tech. Ref.) which might or might not be helpful. Sigh. I already have the HP/HIL Tech. Ref., which tells me the protocols once I can access the HIL device (or whatever it's called), but what I don't have is how I get access to the channel in the first place from DOS (in particular, from Turbo C). I know the interface exists, since I can get HP's PAL software to use it on the system. Can anybody out there offer advice (or public-domain code)? Is the Touch Accessory intended for use only by HP software? Please reply by email. I will forward or summarize if so requested. - Bob Lewis ...!tektronix!tessi!bobl
