Has any one out there got an Exabyte tape system connected to HP series 300 workstations? - we have 318/319s with HPIB. If so, how does it perform ? do you need additional hardware/software ie SCSI ? re: "Has any one out there got an Exabyte tape system connected to HP series 300 workstations? - we have 318/319s with HPIB." There are at least two re-sellers offering SCSI Exabytes for the 300. I.E.M. in Fort Collins, another independent hardware vendor, has just announced an HP-IB 8mm drive, and it appears to be a repackaged Exabyte (with what must be an extensively new controller/adaptor for HP-IB). I have seen no independent reports on it.
