I have a 9000/320 that won't boot. The CPU diagnostic lights quick flash on/off (which is normal) and then stop with the most significant and least significant lights on and all others off. It also appears that the RGB video board is not putting out a signal. Does the boot ROM turn on the video signal or is the boot stop because diagnostics detected an error in the video board. We have a 9000/330 board for a disk-less workstation. If the CPU board is sick, can we substitute the 9000/330 in for the 9000/320 board without damage until we get our other board fixed. I do not want to drag a HP repair rep. out to ND for board swapping if someone out there could help us. Meaning: MC680X0 CPU failed -Shaw p.s. try replacing processor chip (if socketed)

I could not find 1000 0001 in the Rev C Boot ROM Spec. Some permutations on 1000 0001: 0000 0001 CPU register test failure 0100 0001 Card at SC 1 failed You might try pulling cards until all the LEDS are off (no failure). The Boot ROM only needs the first RAM board and the CPU installed. Perry Scott
