This is the official call for votes for the creation of comp.org.interex During the discussion period I received only 2 negative comments (and those were not really negative, just suggestions that the group should be comp.org.interex and not comp.sys.hp.interex - thanks guys and gals) and 40+ positive comments. Stated breifly, INTEREX is an international group of Hewlett Packard computer users that supports its membership with information sharing, contributed software libraries for each flavor of HP operating systems, several public- ations, two international conferences annually and several smaller seminars annually. The group has a current membership of 10,000+. The purpose of this newsgroup is to provide another vehicle for spreading information to both members and nonmembers about the organization's activities and to receive feedback and questions from members. I expect its format to run similar to comp.org.usenix As I will be out of town untill 8/15, I will hold the voting period open until then. Please email votes, as this system expires news.groups every 5 days. -- | R. I vote YES for the creation of comp.org.interex. I've been a member of Interex, through several employers, for the last nine years. Great group! Linda J. Genot ljg@vax3.iti.org Ind. Tech. Ins. Ann Arbor, MI.
