We're looking for a reasonable Modula-2 system that runs on HP 9000/3xx under HP-UX 6.5 or later. Requirements:- - Compiler should accept 'classical' Modula-2, ie. Wirth's definition up to about 1985. - Good floating point code. - Library not important. - None of this single pass explicit forward reference rubbish. - Generate standard Unix object files. - Use a pre-linker to get the link order correct, and then ld(1). - Run-time checking of array bounds, ranges, etc. - Processes not needed. - Have a decent source level debugger (or be usable under xdb, dbx, xdb, or the flavour of the month 'standard' debugger). - The whole system must be capable of sustaining real applications consisting of hundreds of modules - toy makers please refrain from replying. - We can *pay* for it, if it is good enough. Any suggestions gratefully received. Paul Breslaw Mecasoft SA Guggachstrasse 10 8057 Zurich Switzerland tel: +41 1 362 2040 e-mail: ... mcvax!cernvax!mecazh!paul
