[comp.sys.hp] Block mode hpterm for X anywhere?

scott@grlab.UUCP (Scott Blachowicz) (08/22/89)

Hi-
We do code development on HP systems, and some of our code is dependent
on the "block mode" operation of HP terminals (we put up forms). We are
looking for a decent HP terminal emulator that runs under the X11 product
as shipped by HP (X11R2 based, right now). If anyone has any information
about such programs, please let me know.

Thanks a lot,
Scott Blachowicz

There is an X11 client program called hpblkterm. It is not perfect yet
but it works. You can ninstall it from hpsmtc2.

Good Luck...

Although I am not privy to all the latest product release info, my
understanding is that the HP-UX 7.0 release "hpterm" scheduled for later
this fall will incorporate the functionality of the "hpblkterm" program
alluded to in the prior response.
