Does anyone have any documentation on hp9236? In particular, how to program the DMA controller, hpib interface, etc. Is it possible to borrow/buy them? Thanks for any pointers. -Hank Wan wan@cory.berkeley.edu ...!ucbvax!cory!wan

The "System Designer's Guide" for the Pascal Workstation operating system
(similar to UCSD Pascal) contains extensive source listings and internals
info on the Series 200 computers (such as your Model 236).

Yes, but I haven't the numbers handy. Ask your local sales office.

The manual Bob Niland referred to is "Pascal System Internals Documentation", part number 98615-90075. You can order the manual from HP's Direct Marketing Division at phone number 800-538-8787

You may want to check with the local hp sales office and see if any one has the standard documentation for the system . You will need to tell them if you have Basic or Pascal. There is a system designer's guide for Pascal that goes into a substantial amount of detail on the internals of the 9836. You may be able to just get them to loan it to you if you have a friendly sales rep. If not, ask for the Documentation Guide that most all HP offices have in the literature room. tonyc

You can order the manual from > HP's Direct Marketing Division at phone number 800-538-8787 the manual that we have with the part number 98615-90075 is titled "Pascal 3.0/3.1 System Designer's Guide". the one we have was printed in 1985 and we have been told that there are no newer versions of this manual. is this true? are there any other manuals that go into how to program the hardware on the newer computers? -wayne
