[comp.sys.hp] fairly inexpensive, third party SCSI drives for swap ?

Hi,

I hope some one can help, since diskless cnodes can have a local swap disk, has anyone successfully used a low cost ( <= 1000 ) SCSI drive for this purpose.

Also, has anyone or would anyone know if a Vectra 386, running MSDOS, can be fitted with a SCSI adapter/card for a 650MB oread/writable ptical drive. (Or any optical drive for that matter.) And more importantly will it work -or- how would he performce for such a drive be.

		Thanks for any help,
