[comp.sys.hp] 3rd party memory available ?

greg@umbc5.umbc.edu (Greg Sylvain) (10/14/89)

Hi, I am hoping that somebody might be able to tell me of a 3rd party somewhere that sells 4MB memory boards for s300 machnes, specifically 340s and 370s. I know HP is losing a lot of money in there H/W service departments to 3rd parties, how about this as well.

PS. $4000+ for 4MB gets to be a little extreme don't you think.

		Thanks for your help,
		Greg Sylvain

Greg:

I have 3rd party boards for my system that appear to work pretty
well. These boards are:

8 MB Board - Resides in my 370
		 Obtained from:

		 Martinsound Technologies
		 1151 West Valley Blvd.
		 Alhambra, CA 91803-2492
 		 (818) 281 - 3555

     4 MB EM-300 - Resides in my 330
		   Obtained from:

		Infotek Systems
		1045 S. East Street
		Anaheim, CA 92805-8508
		(800) 227 - 0218

These boards appear to work just fine. Both companies make
4 MB boards for the 370. I think both companies
told me that they are currently working on 340 boards. You'll have
to call and ask them.
