[comp.sys.hp] "panic : cnode declared dead by root server", WHAT!?!

greg@umbc5.umbc.edu (Greg Sylvain) (10/31/89)

	Hello again,

I am hoping someone has come accross this problem before.
After a little while (maybe a day of uptime), the diskless node
of this cluster crashes, with the above panic message. It got a
differrent one once before, but this was the best. I think the
problem may be with the network itself, we have a hell of alot of traffic
over here. It seems like the nodes maybe lossing packets, if this is
happening during swapping it could be trouble. Is there any kernel
peramiters that might help, I haven't found any. Or does anyone
	have a better suggestion.

		Were running hp-ux 6.5 on a cluster of 2 340's and X11R3, along
with xdm. Were both running csh. And using thin-lan for the network
	media.

	Any clue ?

	greg
