I am experimenting with the Starbase graphics on our hp835 turbo SRX system, and have come across the following problem: I have tried to type in some of the demos from the Starbase documents, and am having trouble with the ones that are supposed to do light source shading. Specifically the demos that I typed in were: smooth.c (draws a colored ball) vase.c (draws the infamous textured vases) I use /dev/crt0 and hp98730 and (INIT|THREE_D|MODEL_XFORM) for the arguments to gopen. This seems to work ok, but when it comes to executing the lines that set the light source vectors (light_source) the Starbase library (shade I believe) gives me a bad parameter error. Execution continues, I just get no shaded pictures. Incidentally I do get the opening graphics for the vase demo (where it draws the splines). I have tried to use hp98731 and received a similar error. Could someone tell me what driver I have to specify, or if I am using the right one, what I might be doing wrong. I am pretty sure I typed in the demos correctly. BTW, is there a good ftp site where we can get some good example Starbase programs or demos? We didn't get any with our machine!( Imagine that.
