[comp.sys.hp] AT&T compiler/translator for C++

The Nov'89 issue of Byte magazine (p22) has a small newsitem re: AT&T
offering C++ source code for $300 ($25 for binary) for students/universities.
We hav an HP9000 / 850 machine. Would it be possible get this source code
and compile it on our machine? Or would there be potential problems 
compiling/running this? Has somebody tried something similar?
