Mr. Machine was produced by Ideal Toys. I received one for
Christmas somewhere in the late '50s. I'm sure it's gone
now, but it was quite important to me at the time. In fact,
I can still remember the jingle from the television advertise-
ments:
Here he comes, here he comes,
Greatest toy you've ever seen,
And his name isssss
Mr. Machine!
He is real, he is real,
And for you, he is Ideal,
And his name isssss
Mr. Machine!, Mr. Machine!, Mr. Machine!,
MR. MACHINE!
Good luck on finding one. There must be someone out there who
hasn't moved all over creation all their lives, and who still
has theirs in an attic. As I recall, they were very durable
toys.
By the way, is this a nostalgia attack, or what?
