I'm doing a project which entails modifying the X server (to provide
magnification of parts of the screen). I had started looking at the X11R3
server code for the HP machines but then decided to wait for R4. As this
has been rewritten and I've only got the object code I'd like very much to
hear from someone connected with this project and/or the R3 server. The main
queries I have just now are..
Is it possible to get the source for the R4 server (for educational use) ?
Are there any problems with plugging an R4 server into an R3 system ?
If it's not possible to get the R4 source then could someone who knows
about the R3 server please get in touch so I can ask them a few
questions about it ?
