Does anyone have the equivalent of the "netdate" program for BSD systems running under HPUX 6.5? Is anyone aware of such in the public domain? Is anyone aware of such in the >public domain? > Netdate is available on simtel20 in the directory pd2:<unix-c.networks>. I picked up a copy, and with a few small changes, got it to work on HP-UX. Most of the changes involve the different utmp structure, and the different location of the wtmp file. Also, HP-UX logs time changes in /etc/utmp as well as /etc/wtmp. If you want a copy of netdate with my changes, I can send it to you. However, ***HP HAT ON*** I cannot guarentee that what I send you will work, nor do I have time to offer help if you run into problems. This is completely unsupported, etc., etc., etc. ***HP HAT OFF*** If you want netdate.shar, let me know, and I will send you a copy. >Thanks, >-- >Boyd Merworth >The University of Texas at Austin >Department of Computer Sciences, TAY 2.124, Austin, Texas 78712 >merworth@cs.utexas.edu {harvard,gatech,uunet}!cs.utexas.edu!merworth Your welcome, Ken Sumrall HP California Language Labs ken%hpda@hplabs.hp.com ...!hplabs!hpda!ken All opinions expressed here are my own.
