I've been using the HP Deskjet Plus since September of last year. I haven't
ever had any problems with it until recently. It has started to print the
first half of the first page correctly, but from there on the print gets
lighter and lighter. I remember a friend making a comment about a problem
with the Deskjet doing this, but I can't remember what it was that I had to
do to have to problem fixed. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything
about a possible recall on a part in the Deskjet Plus, or what I needed to
do to fix it.

Is your printhead running out of ink or does this happen with new printheads? Have you tried priming the printhead (push the button on the front panel)? Brian Cripe bcripe@cv.hp.com

Buy a new ink cartridge. Worked wonders for me ;-) -bruce

I haven't seen this on my DeskJet, but my cartridge is still pretty new. I have seen this sort of behaviour on a ThinkJet (earlier ink jet printer from HP). It was characteristic of the print supply getting low. Tim Mikkelsen
