[comp.sys.hp] X doesn't redraw ???

Our X-Windows is acting weird!  We just recently upgraded
to 7.0, and now it seems that when a window which was 
covered by another window is reactivated, the formerly hidden
window is not redrawn.  Even a "repaint" doesn't recover it.

Not being able to use overlapping windows is not fun.
Does anybody have any ideas what is broken here?

I have not seen anything like this with 7.0. What applications' windows
are affected in this manner? All of them?
