I know this was posted last year but, darn it!, I didn't save a copy.
What is the correct cabling for connecting a Telebit (T2500) to a
6-channel MUX on an 825? (MUX is HP98196A aka 27140A).
Thanks!

The pin-outs on the 27140A MUX are dual-function DCE/DTE. They are wired to
look like a DCE, with the missing DTE functions on otherwise unused pins.
For direct connection of DTE devices (e.g.terminals, printers, etc.), you
use a 1-1...25-25 straight-thru cable, such as an HP 40242M.
For connection of DCE devices (e.g.modems), you need a special cable that
brings the hidden pins to life. It is ordered as product number 92219Q.
If you want to make your own cable, I suspect someone can post the pinouts.
I can't find my copy from the last time this came up....
