[comp.sys.hp] graded uucp under HPUX, does it exist, does it work?

zeeff@b-tech.ann-arbor.mi.us says:
| On HDB uucp, you can put a grade after the time to call. For example:
|
| site Any/P ...
|
| would allow things with grade >= P to be sent at any time. There were
| problems with BSD versions of uucp communicating about grades
| differently, hopefully the uucp you have is compatible with both
| methods.

I saw this in another group. Then thought, "gee this would help out here".
Called the response center. Not supported. Hmm. If it's HDB, it's HDB.

Does anyone use this? Does anyone know if HP simply doesn't want to document
this (tone of UUCP manual is very low, 1 + 1 = 2, for most values of 1.)
Maybe they just don't feel we can understand this, and therefore don't
document it, which means they don't support it.

I can hardly beleive anyone back at the labs would rip the capability out.
They'd just compile HDB as shipped from AT&T plus some HP tweeks.

In the event it exists, what about duplicate entries in the systems file.
What happens when uucp reads:

hpwrc 0600-1800/C ...
hpwrc 1800-0600/D ...

Since news is typically D grade, and e-mail is "C" (I think). This would
limit you to e-mail during the day. Would uucp gag on two hpwrc entries?
