JB Technologies Inc., in Moorpark, CA advertises in Byte saying they repair drives and sell reconditioned drives. Last month, I called them with an order for one ST-506 drive. I was promised that it would be shipped the next day. A week later, it hadn't arrived. I called them asking about the order and theycould not find it. I was promised a call back. It never came. A week after that, I called again, asking about my order. I was told that it was shipped on the day of my second call and that is should be there tomorrow. Four days later, they call me and say that it was never shipped because they could not charge my credit card. I told them to cancel the order. Has anyone had anything to do with this company? Are these guys in the business they claim to be in or are they a rip-off? jd onymouse@netcom.UUCP

I was screwed by JB Technologies...so you are not the only one who has had a bad experience with them. Actually you got lucky; things could have been far worse; if their sales organization were competent enough to charge your credit card, you could be stuck with a lemon hard disk right now! -- | Clint Jeffery, U. of Arizona Dept. of Computer Science | cjeffery@cs.arizona.edu -or- {noao allegra}!arizona!cjeffery --
