Has anyone ported utilities like arp, vmstat, uudecode/encode, etc to HP-UX? If so would it be possible to get the diffs to the source, or include files needed to get distributed BSD source to compile on the HP's (assuming this isn't a breach of whatever copyright laws are out there...)? Does anyone know HP's rational for not including these utilities (there are others that aren't included, like troff, that I don't understand either)? Regarding the absence of certain utilities in HP-UX... Vmstat appears in the standard HP-UX product. (HP-UX hpupnja A.B7.00 U 9000/835 14988) Regarding troff, I have been told over the years that since there are several third parties who have well differentiated (i.e. feature-rich) implementations of troff most or all supporting HP operating systems and peripherals, there was no point in supporting it. I'm just a field lacky, though... #include <disclaimer.h> Mark Fresolone
