Can anyone make any recommendations for high speed modems to be used for dialin to Unix machines and for micro-micro communication? I called HP, but they don't sell anything faster than 2400bps and won't recommend anybody else. I was told buy it, try it, and see. :-( I'm thinking along the lines of V.32, V.42 and V.42bis. While most of the connections will be among the modems I buy, I want to be compatible with the rest of the world. Sharing a line for inbound/outbound was put into HP's getty a long time ago. If that is all you need in your getty, it is already in the regular one. Just set up the device files as documented. wunder
