Our shop runs several HP3000 machines under the MPE operating system. I am interested in acquiring any of several pd communications software packages, including kermit, ymodem, zmodem, and/or uucp. Also, compress/uncompress would be of great interest. Our application needs to share files between the HPs and several Unix boxes. We have tried "blast" (a commercial comm package), but it is far too slow (average 60 minutes to transfer a 1 megabyte file on a 9600 baud line), and has occasion to fail during the initial login expect/send sequencing. I have no problem locating source -- the problem is that we have no C compiler (at last check, HP wanted $10,000 -- ouch!) so I need *binaries* for these programs. Please e-mail responses.
