Any system admin can understand my frustrations........ I have installed a MAC/AIX box on my lan and have remotely mounted that filesystem onto my 9000/835. Using SAM (probably my first mistake) I have set-up remote prining to several other machines But, can't seem to get it right on the MAC. I've created a default destination on the MAC using it's lpadmin. The only way which I can presently get anything on the MAC to print locally is to use lpr. I have successfully submitted jobs from HPUX to the MAC queue but cannot get lp to execute to empty the queue. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS BEFORE ?????????????? Note: /etc/hosts.equiv has been updated. I've followed the directions in the Mac manual. And followed SAM's directions on 835. ******************************************************************************* * Eugene W. Just a thought: Does the MAC have lpd running? This is the line printer deamon that is usually executed from /etc/rc. It's responsible for accepting requests and printing them when a printer is available. Bob Lienhart
