I've got a friend who has an Apple ][e at home, but no net access. I'd like to show him the things available in comp.binaries.apple2. I know I can transfer these things from the comp.binaries.apple2 archives to my machine at work, an HP-UX workstation. But, I don't know how to get them onto Apple floppies from there (I know nothing about Apple hardware). There are utilities on the HP workstation to read/write/format DOS disks and LIF disks (HP BASIC workstation format). Are there any utilities to do the same with Apple floppies? Failing that, are there any utilities for DOS machines to read/write/format Apple disks (if so, I could use the HP DOS utils to get to DOS media, then go to a DOS box to put them on Apple media - :-( I know, but it'll work). Many thanks in advance for any and all pointers. Sorry for the cross-posting. Followups directed to me. -- Bruce Wehr (wehr%dptc.decnet@srlvx0.srl.ford.com) (...!mailrus!sharkey!fmeed1!wehr) (wehr%fmeed1.uucp@mailgw.cc.umich.edu) Ford Motor Company - Electronics Division 17000 Rotunda Drive, ETC Room LN081, Dearborn, Michigan 48121 (313)845-3039
