A while ago I heard about ink cartridges for deskjet printer which was less likely to have problems when the ink got wet. Does ink cartridge exist yet? If not is it due out at any time in the near future? Any information that anybody has on this as well as pros and cons to the deskjet series would be greatly appreciated. The cartridge is out right now. It has exactly the same number as the old cartridge. You have to be careful though, HP is shipping the old cartridge until the stock is depleted. At that point on you will only get the new cartridge. (It says NEW on the box). As far as pro's and con's, there are very few no that the "almost" water resistent ink is out. Con's might be; speed, memory limits, and not all fonts are availble. Pro's are cost, size, reliability, upgrades available from a deskjet or deskjet plus to a deskjet 500. It is real hard now to decide between a LJ IIP and a deskjet 500. Is it worth the few built in fonts and extra memory for downloadble fonts to justify the price difference? My opinions only since I've owned both.....
