You should have the following entry in /etc/services:

	 finger 79/tcp

The /etc/inetd.conf entry should be like this:

finger stream tcp nowait bin /usr/local/etc/fingerd fingerd -l

You may substitute /usr/local/etc/fingerd with a path of your choice.
You may also specify any or all of the -l, -r, -f options.

The finger program should be installed in one of the following directories:
/usr/local/bin, /usr/contrib/bin, /usr/bin. The fingerd server will only
search for finger in those directories (in that order).
