[comp.sys.hp] NewWave standards implementation

I've seen a demo of NewWave and you get the feeling that some stuff was
wired together to make it do what it does for the demo. HP claims that
"standards" were used to make sure that the communications were possible or
that files could be incorporated into other third party software tools. Is
it possible to get a list of the various standards that NewWave depends on to 
do what it does?
