[comp.sys.hp] How To Override An Accelerator

paul@mecazh.uu.ch (Paul Breslaw) (10/23/90)

We are using Motif 1.0 on HP9000/3xx under HP-UX7.0 (X11.R3 and a half)

I want the effect of typing Return in a single-line text widget to
arm and activate a nearby pushbutton - that is I want to see the button
move, not just the callback invoked.

I've looked at the HP provided documentation, but cannot work out with
various calls of XtInstallAccelerators how to do it. I think the problem
has to do with the fact that Return is already defined as an accelerator
for the text widget, and the normal behaviour is to augment the translation,
not to overide it.

I've seen the behaviour before. Could someone let me know how to do it.

Thanks

Paul Breslaw
