Problems with NFS on a HP 9000/345 running HP-UX 7.0

We've got a problem with the a.m. NFS implementation.
May be it's a HP specific problem, may be it could be a general one.
If we export filesystems from the HP to another host, or to the world,
all the files created or modified by this host will get an uid of "-2".
This is independent of which user on the host creates the file, that is
"root" or "someoneelse" are treated identically. This problem leads to the
fact, that I have to give rwx - rights to anyone, to allow for modification/
creation of files.
Unfortunately this causes a lot of security problems in a NFS environment.
I would appreciate, if someone could give me some hints how to solve this
problem, if there exists a solution at all.
Please mail your answer to prl@ibzffm.uucp
