Hello, In response to A. V. Le Blanc's (zlsiial@cms.mcc.ac.uk) reply in article 7106 of comp.sys.hp: I applied your recommended diffs to my Makefile, and it compiled with only some warnings (as it did before) except for this time, I had no problems with etext. Thanks. groff.c compiled correctly this time. Thanks. I installed it and tried again: groff -Tascii -man groff.1 It did the same thing: nothing. The only thing that is different between my Makefile and your recommended on is the SHELL. I don't have bash, so I used ksh for SHELL. Is that important? I noticed that you have a program called dvi2lj. I have not seen that program at any ftp site. I have seen troff2lj, and a few which convert from hp format to PostScript, but not dvi to lj. Could you please tell me how I can get that program? I assume it's anonymous FTPable, and you can just give me the site. At any rate, having dvi2lj will not fix my problem, though I would like to have dvi2lj. I appreciate your help, -Mike gt5431b@prism.gatech.edu or mike@penguin.gatech.edu PS: How did you know how to fix the etext problem? PPS: Pardon the personal corespondance, but the previous related article did not end the problem, and the original article was largely ignored.
