Hi, can anyone tell me either the full domainname of hpspot or the internetaddress. Well, there's hplspot.hpl.hp.com, hpl-spot.hpl.hp.com and spots.cup.hp.com. Plus two more hosts with the alias "spot". I'm afraid the information may not do you much good, though (unless you're sending mail): all the spots are on HP's "closed subnets" and can't be reached from the ARPA Internet. cricket hostmaster@hp.com

[I suppose I'm allowed to say this now.] "hpspot" was (one of) the name(s) used for a prototype that was part of the basis of the VUE product. As far as I know it was never available to outside folks and VUE is superior. Disclaimer: If HP had a net.spokesperson it certainly wouldn't be me. Rob
