can anyone tell me either the full domainname of hpspot or the
internetaddress.

    Hi,

    can anyone tell me either the full domainname of hpspot or the
    internetaddress.

Well, there's hplspot.hpl.hp.com, hpl-spot.hpl.hp.com and spots.cup.hp.com.
Plus two more hosts with the alias "spot".  I'm afraid the information may
not do you much good, though (unless you're sending mail):  all the spots
are on HP's "closed subnets" and can't be reached from the ARPA Internet.

[I suppose I'm allowed to say this now.]

"hpspot" was (one of) the name(s) used for a prototype that was part of
the basis of the VUE product.  As far as I know it was never available
to outside folks and VUE is superior.

Disclaimer: If HP had a net.spokesperson it certainly wouldn't be me.
