Hello, I have a problem with the RUN-ONLY utility on an HP 260. We have just won a case against our software vendor. He had to pay some money and to remove the RUN-ONLY attribute (is that an attribute ?) from all of his programs on our machine (to enable us to edit the programs in case of errors). But now he told us this would be impossible. We can't get an 'open' version from him, because our programs are too old. I have asked some HP guys here in Germany, but noone had sufficient knowledge about the HP 250/260. I hope someone can help me to clarify if it is possible to reconvert the programs in readable form (we have the right to do so...). Many thanks in advance, Claus (please reply by mail) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Christian-Albrechts-Universitaet Kiel, Institut fuer Informatik Preusserstr. 1 - 9 , D - 2300 Kiel 1 Phone: ++49-431-5604-57 , Fax: ++49-431-566143 EMail: ca@informatik.uni-kiel.dbp.de , ca@idefix.informatik.uni-kiel.dbp.de ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have sent email to Claus telling him the names of two HP persons in Germany that I think can help him. It should be noted that removing the RUN-ONLY flag (by unsupported utility) may violate Copyrights, but Claus seems to understand this.
