Excuse me if this a frequently asked question.
Are there public domain postscript drivers for
HP LaserJet II?
I've heard that LJ-IIs have been used with Macs and
postscript drivers for them must exist; they may not be
free, of course.
If there are no PD drivers, does any one know of
inexpensive ones?
We are thinking of using Framemaker. Since Framemaker
produces postscript files, we would like to print them
on our LJ II printers.
I appreciate any help/pointers.

LJIIs do not support postscript in any way as they stand. You will have to convert the files to PCL then print them, or buy a PostScript cartridge. There are several about. You just put the cartridge in a fony slot, modify the software as it says in the manual, turn the printer on, and you should have a postscript printer. Beware how ever that some cartridges will not be switchable between PCL and PS, in software. BJ
