Assuming you are refering to HP-UX (not Domain): Don't you mean that this DOES work when the 400 is configured for long filenames? If not please include an ll of /usr/spool/lp/request/<printername> and a cat of the control file listed (cfAXXXX<hostname> file). Bob Lienhart

This same problem on occurs on the 800 under HP-UX 7.0 - we fixed it here by applying a patch from HP that fixes a similar problem some people have been having with PC's running FTP Software's PC/TCP. I dont think this has anything to do with short versus long filenames.
